چکیده
Abstract Utilizing a randomized controlled trial (RCT) in traditional clusters of apparel and textile firms Vietnam, this paper investigates peer effects on firm managers’ decisions to participate seminars export promotion. We invited 131 randomly selected representatives three one-day use the number peers identify effects. further decompose into same seminar, those earlier seminars, later seminars. find that former has positive effect firms' participation, whereas latter two have no significant effect. These results imply participation primarily arise from benefits face-to-face interactions. The presence suggests multiple equilibria terms share participants within each village may emerge, which is also consistent with our observations.

Using a systematic review in clinical decision making: a pilot parallel, randomized controlled trial
BACKGROUND Evidence suggests that systematic reviews are used infrequently by physicians in clinical decision-making. One proposed solution is to create filtered resources so that information is validated and refined in order to be read quickly. Two shortened systematic review formats were developed to enhance their use in clinical decision-making. METHODS To prepare for a full-scale trial, w...
متن کاملUsing video images to improve the accuracy of surrogate decision-making: a randomized controlled trial.
INTRODUCTION When patients are unable to make important end-of-life decisions, doctors ask surrogate decision makers to provide insight into patients' preferences. Unfortunately, multiple studies have shown that surrogates' knowledge of patient preferences is poor. We hypothesized that a video decision tool would improve concordance between patients and their surrogates for end-of-life preferen...
متن کاملEffects of Stapled Hemorrhoidopexy on Anorectal Function: A Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial
Background: Stapled hemorrhoidopexy is a safe and acceptable alternative to traditional hemorrhoidectomy with shorter hospital stay, better satisfaction, and less postoperative pain. There have, however, been reports on early and late complications. Therefore, the present study was designed to assess the impact of stapled hemorrhoidopexy on anorectal function and continence. Methods: Sixty-one ...
متن کاملDecision Aid to Technologically Enhance Shared decision making (DATES): study protocol for a randomized controlled trial
BACKGROUND Clinicians face challenges in promoting colorectal cancer screening due to multiple competing demands. A decision aid that clarifies patient preferences and improves decision quality can aid shared decision making and be effective at increasing colorectal cancer screening rates. However, exactly how such an intervention improves shared decision making is unclear. This study, funded b...
متن کاملEffects of Acetic Acid Vaginal Gel on Vulvovaginal Candidiasis: A Double Blind Randomized Controlled Trial
Background and purpose: It is estimated that 70–75% of women experience one episode of vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) during childbearing age and 40-50% suffer from recurrent VVC. Because of the resistance of Candida species to certain drugs, such as azoles, physicians tend to use complementary or alternative medicine such as vinegar in treatment of VVC. The current study aimed to determine the...
